beef stroganoff 3

WOAH. It’s recipe time. I know it’s been forever since I posted a recipe. So ridiculous. Recipe-testing/picture-taking takes up a lot of time though! A lot of time I haven’t had much of recently! With school stuff starting to die down, I’m hoping I can really start cranking out some recipes. The week with grandma definitely got my fire going again when she made this beef stroganoff for me. It was SO GOOD. It’s hard to find a bad recipe in any grandmother’s recipe box, amIright?

The recipe was not only delicious but so so easy. The prep time is 5 minutes. Seriously 5 minutes. I could make and eat this every night of the week! I’m pretty sure it won’t be hard to convince Tad of this plan either. He was quite the fan! Minus the noodles part. Not a noodle guy.

Enjoy, friends!

Beef Stroganoff

1 1/2 pound round steak or stew steak
3 Tbsp butter
2/3 cup water
1 envelope onion mix
3 or 4 oz. can mushrooms, undrained
1 cup sour cream
Hot cooked rice or noodles

Slice steak into 1 1/2 inch cubes if not already pre-sliced. Melt butter in pan over medium-high heat. Add beef to pan and sear until brown on all sides. Reduce heat to low, add water, onion soup, and undrained mushrooms. Cover and simmer 1-2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes. Add sour cream and stir. Serve atop rice or noodles!

Have a fabulous Tuesday!
