Yes…it’s already that time of year to pull out those beads, let your hair down, and go shopping. They say this holiday is marked with gluttony, so why not commemorate the holiday with a glutinous wish list? Who’s with me?
1. This gold elephant screams extravagant!
2. It is sinful how much I want these pillows.
3. For some reason I equate a good party with sparkle. These fit the bill nicely.
4. Please? I need this and pretty much everything else from Matchbook Magazine shop. It’s actually cruel.
5. Fat Tuesday, as it is so lovingly referred to, only means the end of holiday food (except for Valentine’s Day, of course!) and the beginning of the season of gearing up for bathing suit season. That’s right ladies. Live it up because we are getting ready to turn the corner, but it’s worth it with this adorable suit!
6. And no Fat Tuesday is complete without a cookie (or ten). Enjoy!

I’ve been on such a hunt lately for great artwork. My walls are already pretty full but I’m always looking to add to my collection!
I don’t really have a theme when I’m looking for great art… really my only stipulation is that it makes me smile when I see it. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not really to the point of scouring art galleries and spending hundreds of dollars on artwork (ha! Long way off). My favorite places to find great art are Etsy and Art.com. There are so many great illustrations and prints that you can find for a great price!

I am also deeply in love with Grace Coddington’s inspiring new book about the ups and downs of life in the fashion world. Plus, it’s gorgeous.

The high temperature in Kansas City was in the upper 60s yesterday. UPPER 60s, people!! I don’t know about you, but when I can roll the windows down in February I get some serious Spring fever! Of course, these pictures don’t really help much. I’m itching for a new sundress, some brightly colored flowers to adorn my kitchen, and diving myself into a great book. Who’s with me?
Maybe if we think really really hard, it will stay in the 60s for the next 12 months. Let’s give it a try, shall we?
