Current literary obsession: Carry On, Warrior: Thoughts on Life Unarmed
By: Glennon Doyle Melton

This has been one of the most inspiring books I’ve ever read. This writer is so real and so identifiable, you get the feeling that you are hearing yourself. I don’t care if you are 21 or 80. You will love this book and you will read it in one day. You will want to highlight every passage. This is a book I recommend rereading whenever you can. She will make you laugh, and cry, and think.

Please read this book as soon as possible and let me know what you think!

Happy reading,
Erin

Weekend

The title of this post is a teensy bit deceiving… I really haven’t had much of a life these days! I’m getting ready for residency interview season (yikes!) and much of my time is spent at the hospital. It’s not too shabby though… the hospital is like my second home!

I did have a day off this past Saturday and spent the day watching Tad and a couple of his friends complete the Tough Mudder! In case you don’t know what this is, it’s an 11-mile obstacle course that gets you really muddy. Every mile or so is an obstacle you have to complete… one of them being the Arctic Enema where you have to swim in a freezing cold tank of water. Tad said it was an instant brain freeze like when you eat ice cream too fast. Except that times 10. Yeah, no thanks.

You get electrocuted in two of the obstacles… Yeah definitely NO THANKS. I was perfectly content being the photographer on the sidelines and will always be content being the photographer on the sidelines. I’m incredibly proud of Tad but holy moly…. Why do people do these things?? Tad and his friends trained for months and ended up running the entire way and completed all of the obstacles on the first try! So proud.

Here are some pictures from the weekend!

I must say… I’ve got one handsome fiancé 😉

Hope you’re having a fantastic Wednesday!

It’s fall, y’all! Happy second day of Autumn! This is the best time of the year.  Hands. Down.

Michiemay- Oh Happy Day Banner

Thewheatfield- Farmers Market Print

ParrottDesignStudio- Thank You Letterpress Card

CocoDraws- The Striped Tshirt Print

SparklesMacaron- French Macarons (yum!!)

I’ve become rather obsessed with Etsy lately… I’m mainly drawn to the amazing prints you can get for cheap! They are so fabulous and unique. My gallery wall is always calling out for more, so I’m constantly on the hunt for new Etsy treasures!

Some of my favorite shops are listed above.  Don’t be fooled though… my Etsy obsession doesn’t just stop at artwork! You can get everything from pencils, to macarons, to party decorations, to a vintage swimsuit. One stop shop. Done.

Happy Monday, folks. Let’s make it a great one, shall we?

Natalie

Blah, Weekend

20130920-081153.jpg

We don’t know about you all, but we have had a serious case of the blahs this week. Our school years are in full swing and the colds have started…plus it’s getting harder to get out of bed with the colder temps and later sunrises. All signs of fall and we love it. But this week was just a long ride on the struggle bus. So we don’t know about you, but we are doing a whole lotta nothing this weekend.

Commence relaxation mode!
Erin and Natalie

Ps. Stay tuned on Monday…we get our new fall header! Yay!
