Phew! What a weekend!! Natalie and Tad had the most beautiful wedding. The entire weekend went flawlessly and now Tad has whisked Natalie away for a week in MONTEGO BAY! How he was able to keep that a secret for 1.5 years is beyond me!!

Today, I thought I would share a few photos…they are mostly from what I was able to capture on my phone!

The week leading up to the big day was full of errands and pampering. I was put on the handwriting tasks as soon as a I arrived. Hello doctor handwriting. Even the errands were fun. We obviously found time to sneak in some margs and queso.

The bridal luncheon was at The Raphael Hotel. Pomegranate mimosas, macaroons, good company.

After we successfully rehearsed, we were off to Fogo De Chao and got our feast on. Delicious. Natalie and the bridesmaids then returned to our hotel room for a good ol’ fashioned sleepover!

The next morning, we got up and headed to Belle Époque to get our hair and makeup done.

Good morning!! So, yesterday was hard. I can’t believe it’s already time to say goodbye. It feels like just yesterday I was standing on the curb waiting to get them off the bus thinking, what have I gotten myself into!? To yesterday, running after the bus to give them one last hug! They are forever my students.

And, I’m not sure if any of you noticed, but it is JUNE. Holy cow. I think there’s a wedding this weekend? Matt and I took on a lot of outdoor projects in May (including redoing the deck! Bring on the summer BBQs!) and I have some pretty sweet tan/burn lines that need fixing before Saturday. Thoughts?

Speaking of weddings, I leave tomorrow for KC and I literally have a mountain of a to do list to accomplish before my 6 am flight. And then it’s wedding, wedding, wedding! Let’s get these two hitched! In light of that, Natalie and I will be taking a little break from regularly scheduled posts. Be sure to follow all the wedding shenanigans on Instagram!

We will see you back here next Tuesday worn out and wedded. By we I mean I, as Natalie will have been whisked away on her surprise honeymoon!!!

Have a happy week my friends!
Erin

The House Girl
By: Tara Conklin

Good morning! It’s been awhile since I’ve written one of these. Mostly, because this is the first non-school related book I’ve read in probably a year. Oy!

I highly recommend adding this book to your summer reading list. I love when novels switch perspectives between chapters. This book, switches between a modern day lawyer looking for a plaintiff for a reparations lawsuit she’s working on and a woman working as a house slave in Virginia. Each woman unraveling the same story, chapter by chapter.

Definitely a page turner!

Happy reading and a very happy Thursday!
Erin

Ps. Don’t forget to enter the Rodan + Fields Giveaway! Winners announced tomorrow!
