VALENTINE’s DAY is HERE!  I’m finally coming out of my coma of newborn stage now that C is mostly sleeping through the night.  And I’m ready to get back to sharing all the things I love!
And can you all tell I love shopping for the girls?!  Nevermind I haven’t gotten myself a new pair of pants in 2 years.  Either way, I feel very on top of things this year, but it is mostly because these snow days are really testing my sanity by about noon so nap time = shopping time!  Plus, is it just me or are there some seriously good deals out there right now!?!

Here’s what the girls are getting this year for the ol’ LOVE day!

Books
1. Love is a Truck also very cute paired with the book Love is a Tutu (would be seriously cute for a brother/sister gift!)
2. Besos for Baby
3. This is Not a Valentine
4. Huggy Kissy

PJS
5. Both girls are getting these!

Gifts
6. Heart Pom Pillow for Claire
7. Be Mine Pouch for E
8. Also, I got these boots with V-Day in mind, but with all the snow I think I’ll just give them to her.  With coupon codes, I got them for $15.  Seriously.  If you have a girl, GET THEM. Great deal. **Right now they are $17.99 shipped with code FRESHSTYLE, ITSFREE, and check your email for a unique code for an additional $10 off!
9. Contemplating this necklace for E…
10. Plus red/pink candy, pouches, fruit snacks, etc…

Festive Decor
11. E is going to go to the store and pick out her own Valentine’s–I CANNOT WAIT
12. Stickers
13. How cute are these plates?!

If you need a few other ideas (especially for cute books) you can take a look back at what I got for E last year!  Crazy that this is E’s 3rd Valentine’s day!

What are you all getting your littles?  There’s still time for me to really have this get out of control!  Send me all the ideas!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Erin

And just like that.  She’s two.  To the one who made me a mama, I hope you have the happiest of days.  I remember being so proud the day I had you.  I kept looking around thinking, is everyone seeing what I’m seeing??  This is one special girl.  And I’ve felt this same way every day since.  That smile and sass brings a whole lot of joy to this family and to the world.  Here’s to another year of YOU my sweet girl!

This Year’s Big Moments:
Starting Swim Lessons
Eating at Big Girl Table!
Moving to Her Girl Room!
Days out with Mommy!
AND Becoming a Big Sister!

Well, this is just about in time for her to turn 6 months, but better late than never right?  I seriously cannot believe that she is almost halfway to a year.  We have mostly got this little chickadee figured out.  It only involves a steady regimen of gripe water, acid reflux meds, gas drops, soy formula, and lots of bouncing and cuddles.  BUT this month we started solids (we got the ok from the pediatrician to start early!) and it is really the only thing that seems to settle her with any real consistency.  YAY!!!  She loves peas, corn, and green beans!  She has also started sitting upright on her own which has helped with the acid reflux I think!  She now sleeps from about 7:30 (we lay her down awake) until about 3.  She eats and then goes back to sleep until we have to wake her around 6.  This is a drastic and I mean DRASTIC improvement from the last four months.  We’re talking up every 20 minutes or less all night long for about 4 weeks in a row.

All the lack of sleep aside, this girly is the best cuddler ever.  Some nights believe it or not, I would jump out of bed because I couldn’t wait to cuddle her.  She calmed almost immediately when I went in to get her.  Her and I have super bonded and I pretty much live to see her one little cheek dimple.

She plays and is pretty independent now that she sits up.  She loves to watch her big sister and will let you know pretty much immediately when she is happy or mad.

Claire, you keep us busy, but boy we wouldn’t have it any other way!
We love you!
And in case you want to compare–here’s E at Five Months!

Our littlest sweet pea turned one month this week!  Although I’m not really sure when I am supposed to do this when she was born on the 31st?  It’ll end up just being the perfect excuse to be late every month!  We are settling into a semi-eating/sleeping routine, even though both are still very much on demand.  She sleeps in 3-6 hour stretches at night from about 10 pm-8 am, but hasn’t really quite figured out the extended daytime naps.  She loves laying in the bath, but the washing part, not so much.  She loves E’s attention most of the time and we have gotten lots of smiles already!  We honestly couldn’t have dreamt up a better addition to our family.  She’s really swept us all up into her tiny little 10 pounds 3 ounce self.  We love you, Claire!

And in case you are interested in comparing our two littles from month to month here is E at one month!

Claire Elizabeth joined our family on May 31st at 11:06 a.m. after a quick delivery!  I started contractions naturally at 3 a.m. (we were scheduled for an induction at 7!). We showed up at 6:30 and were unexpectedly ready to push at 10!  The doctor had to rush to the hospital it all happened so fast!  She weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces…exactly the same as her sister and only .25 inches longer at 20.75 inches.

She is just the perfect little baby and Eleanor is so far adjusting beautifully.  We have had lots of help over the last two weeks and we couldn’t be more thankful or feel more blessed.  We appreciate all of your love and support that you’ve shown our little family!

Hope you all have a great day!
Erin
