This past weekend we headed to Tyro, Virginia to go camping. It’s about 2 hours from Richmond, but it’s worth the trip because it means you are camping right in the mountains.

After a pancake breakfast we went for a hike on the Appalachian trail.

After our hike, we headed towards Stuart’s Draft, which is home to several breweries and wineries. We stopped at Devil’s Backbone where I got the most delicious Pumpkin Ale.

Camping is by far one of our favorite ways to vacation. This camping trip was no exception. Great weather, great food, and great friends. Here’s to next time!
