Good morning! Over the long weekend, Matt and I headed to the Columbus Clippers game….we LOVE baseball and this is a seriously fabulous stadium.

We also got a ton of yard work done. We are resurfacing our deck! Hello, summer bbqs! Laid a TON of mulch, but I was most excited about our peony bushes blooming! They are so pretty!!

While Matt did most of the yard work…ha! I cleaned and organized the house and got caught up on my snailmail!

I’ve decided long weekends are the best kinds of weekends!

So how about you? What were you all up to over the long weekend?

Happy Wednesday!
Erin

Good morning! Wow! What a gorgeous weekend! This weather is definitely putting me in a summer frame of mind. It doesn’t help matters that I only have five days of school left. Where has the time gone!? In just one week, I will be jetting off for Nennie and Tad’s wedding! Eek!

In the meantime, here are this week’s goodies that are making me long for those lazy summer days. What a tease this last weekend was!!

1. Initial Bangle.

2. Summer Hat.

3. Oversized Towel.

4. Bohemian Waves Argan Hair Mist.

5. NARS lipgloss in Istria.

6. Cabana Beach Chair.

You’ll notice we are just a wee bit excited for summer. With cuteness like this, who wouldn’t be?

Hope you all have a fantastic Tuesday!
Erin

Good morning! Today, I thought I would share my inspiration for beauty. The lovely miss Audrey. What I’ve learned: keep it simple and be yourself!

I am loving this print by Emily Block! Would be the perfect addition to a guest bathroom!

Who is your beauty inspiration?

Hope you all have a beautiful Thursday!
Erin

P.S. Stay tuned for a fabulous giveaway tomorrow!

beauty, essentials, makeup

20140521-064526-24326801.jpg

Good morning! Yesterday, I shared with you some of my first things first beauty routine. Once I’m ready to conquer the day, which is not until after my coffee or tea (which I pack several of to go) I use these makeup essentials:

1. Thanks to Birchbox I have gotten to try lots of new products that I wouldn’t necessarily pick off the shelf. Plus, each month you can accumulate points by reviewing items. This Hot Mama Blush is one that I buy with my points over and over again. It has a bit of shimmer to it and the shade is just perfect.

2. Laura Mercier Eyelash Curler. The thing I love most about this is that it is compact. Most eyelash curlers are SO bulky!!

3. Milani Liquid Like Eyeliner.

4. They’re Real Mascara.

5. Bare Minerals Powder Foundation and Brush. Liquid foundation is usually too intense color wise for my face. Powder foundation blends better and is more practical for me for everyday use.

6. Bare Minerals Powder Concealer and Brush. Oh my. I don’t know what I did before I found this. Works wonders on dark circles.

7. Laura Mercier Gloss in Bare Pink. As an everyday lipgloss, I love the way this stays on your lips for awhile. If I’m feeling feisty that day, I’ll put it on over a red or pink lipstick.

8. Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. I love this travel size. Plus, it smells amazing.

These are pretty much my everyday staples. I also have ‘fancy’ makeup I save for getting gussied up–like primers and finishing powders–but for everyday I keep it pretty simple!!

So how about you? What are your favorite makeup staples? Anything you swear by?

Happy Wednesday!
Erin
