 The bump at 14 weeks!

This goodness

We found this chair for $4 at a garage sale!  Matt gave it a little lift with some bright yellow spray paint for the nursery!

How in the world is it already July?!

15 week bump–definitely feel like it fluctuates in size!

I have been using these products daily.  You can find them at Target now which is absolutely amazing.  Currently if you buy one you can get the second 25% off!  Take a look at their whole line!  They have fabulous products!

I am officially 16 weeks this Saturday and I feel like time is flying by.  The first few weeks, when no one knew yet, time seemed to drag a little–plus I was seriously exhausted.  Now that I am in my second trimester, my energy levels are returning and the summer months have provided a little reprieve from my normally hectic schedule.  I have still stayed plenty busy with summer school, my internship, and nannying most evenings, but there are more breaks in the day for a little nap or to relax a little.  Overall, I feel really great (I have only had one emotional breakdown–which is actually less than the non-preggo norm).

This weekend, Matt and I are heading to Madison, Wisconsin for a family get together and we have been bouncing around the house all week with excitement.  Family time is just what the doctor ordered!

What about you guys, what have you been up to??  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!!
Erin

Good morning, friends! We have a very special announcement this morning! Matt and I are expecting a little one in December! I am officially 13 weeks and feeling great! The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of excitement telling our family and friends. This baby is already so loved!  This is sure to be the best Christmas yet!

While I feel really happy and pretty great most of the time, I get really tired by the end of the day, so posting has been a little lacking.  Sorry about that!  Hoping things will calm down a bit and my energy will return soon!

Also, a special thank you to our friend Kylie for taking our pictures!  We are definitely awkward picture people (someday I may post the outtakes…yikes!), but she was able to capture our happiness perfectly!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Erin

Nashville Recap!

Soooo Nashville was amazing.  I have been swimming in a happiness haze ever since we returned.  I can’t believe it’s already been a week since we got back!  A little recap of our travels…

On Friday, Matt and I forgot about the time change so we got there a little before everyone else, so we headed to Germantown to explore. We stumbled upon The Cupcake Collection which is known for being Nashville’s best cupcake and snagged up the last 7 cupcakes they had for Nat’s birthday celebration!

Natalie, Tad, and Nick didn’t get in till around 10 so we stayed in, ordered some pizza, and caught up on the last 6 months since we’d all been together.  And of course got into the cupcakes.  Yum.

On Saturday, we set out to explore.  We got brunch at The Southern and then headed towards the main strip.  We walked that for a bit, stopping along the way for a quick refreshment.

We landed at Acme and stayed there pretty much the rest of the day before heading to Pucketts Grocery for dinner!  The live music everywhere was by far the best part.  And on top of it all: it was a gorgeous day!

On Sunday we headed to brunch at 12 South Taproom & Grill and then did a little shopping at White’s Mercantile!

It was such a fun trip and it had been way too long since we had all been together!

Hope you are all having a fabulous start to the week!

Erin

Today, 28 years ago, a very special girl was brought into my life and I am so proud to call her my sister.  She is the smartest, funniest, and most sincere person I know.  She wears many hats these days, but she will always be my Nennie girl!!

AND…we get to see each other in 12 hours!  My mom, dad, brother, brother-in-law, and of course the birthday girl are meeting Matt and me in Nashville for the weekend!!  It has been since Thanksgiving since we have all seen each other, so to say we are excited would be a gross understatement.  Prepare for an Instagram overload!

Have a great weekend, friends!

Hello, dear friends!

Goodness, it’s been entirely too long. AmIright? My fabulous sister has taken over the blog during this crazy time of our lives and for that, I am so stinkin’ grateful. Can we all take a second and ogle her Instagram feed? The colors! The clothes! The cuteness! So dang proud of that sister of mine. When I’m in need of a pick-me-up, I head over to  her IG and stare at the pictures. True story.

Gosh, where do I begin. I’d like to say a lot has happened since the last time I blogged buuuut… *crickets*. I’ve worked and then worked some more. Not a whole lot in between. Residency is kicking my bum but I don’t hate it! I actually really really love it.

I DID find a snazzy kitchen accessory at an antique mall this weekend! Not sure what to call it… is it a kitchen hutch? Repurposed wheelbarrow? Totally NOT old piece of furniture turned into an old-ish looking piece? Probably all of the above. Regardless, I can’t stop staring at it. I think I’m in love.

Tad and I are headed to The Windy City tomorrow for a weekend anniversary trip! Chicago, here we come! We’ve got quite a to-do list already planned. It starts with brunch at Longman & Eagle on Thursday morning (our flight gets in at 7:30am!) and ends with a Chicago Bulls-New York Knicks basketball game Saturday night. I can’t wait to tell you about all of the goodies we have planned in between! This Ultimate Chicago List from The Neo-Trad helped plan this windy city get-away… so thankful for helpful bloggers with fabulous taste!

We are in desperate need of this vacation and are beyond excited. Think anyone will judge if we order mimosas on our 5:50am flight? #passthechampagne!
