It was so nice for the first few weeks of April! Sunshine was just what we needed.

And then the Easter bunny came crashing down on E’s whole world.  For real, I love that the mall we had this taken at took the time to edit and frame this keeper.

If you caught my Insta Story, egg dyeing went a lot different in my head than it did in actuality.  She thought they were golf balls so she chucked them as soon as she could get her hands on them.  Then she just dipped her fingers in all the dye.

I posted a roundup of my favorite spring styles for the toddler girl and boy!  So much cuteness out there!!
IMG_6258
Gah.  This girl.  How cute are these sunnies with that smile??
IMG_6311
I seriously couldn’t wait for E to get her Easter basket–so much fun!!
IMG_6332
The egg hunt was also a total success!  This dress was so perfect for Easter!

I shared an update on E’s swim lessons here!

We spent an awesome day as a family in Grandview…I posted all about it here!  And there’s still time to get yourself entered to win a $25 gift card! Hurry, it ends Sunday!

Got some extra time with family last week as we said goodbye to my sweet Grandma…

My sister threw us the sweetest sprinkle for baby girl last weekend with our families.  Baby girl is already so loved!
I am dying over these sandals and this book!

I am officially 36 weeks today and am getting QUITE anxious for baby to get here!  Other than the final touches–the major thing we wanted ready to go was baby girl’s room and E’s big girl room and it is officially done!!  I will be sharing pics next week!!!

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
Erin

Ps. If you still need ideas for that special mama in your life, I posted a gift guide here!  Just a little over a week left!

The weather in Ohio has been crazy so we’ve been exploring lots of indoor places!  First up was Cosi Science Museum!  She had a blast!  She could do way more than I thought she’d be able to!
img_2379
…and the sickness continues.  She had GI/flu issues all of December and into January and then a double ear infection/double pink eye.  Oh, and about five molars came in.  She still has a lingering runny nose and cough.  Thankfully, she is back to sleeping and eating regularly.
img_2495
She is obsessed with this car.  She makes car noises and points to the door almost every day.  Now she says car car.  Still waiting on her to say mama.  The girl has her priorities in language.
img_2494
Aunt Nennie came to visit and it was actually decent weather out–as in, not totally freeze your face off weather.
img_2804
E started Swim lessons and we have our 6th class tomorrow so there will be an update next week!
img_2900
E now knows where baby sister is and if you ask her, even in public, where her baby sister is, she will lift up my shirt and blow raspberries.  Kills me.
img_3047
I attended a super informative event on peanut butter allergies at Alchemy.  The event was put on by Crazy Richard’s Peanut Butter and they talked about the new recommendation about serving peanut butter to babies between the ages of 4-6 months to decrease the prevalence of peanut allergies.  They make a peanut butter powder that you can add to any baby foods!  Genius!  Way better option that just dishing up a spoonful which is what we did with E!
img_3171
Eleanor got her first pets!  She knows right where they are and gets so excited when we ask if she wants to go feed her fish!
img_3363
Oh. My. Gosh.  She points at the T.V. and asks for Bar.  Then she sits and demands crackers–which she can also say.  (so if you are keeping track, she can say baby, baba for milk, b for her pacifier, bar, car car, and cracker–no mama).  Priorities.
img_3532
We finally got her this table and chairs so she loves to sit and eat at the table.  A full post coming soon on toddler eating!
img_3550
Ah, sunshine.
img_3572
She finally got out and got her car cleaned.  It was really becoming an eye sore.
img_3603
We had a girl date at Piada and then snagged up some scoops at Jeni’s!
img_3738
When my dad was in town last week, in addition to getting the big stuff set up in E’s room (full posts on that coming soon!), we hit up our favorite Pistacia Vera and E got to try her first macaron!
img_3817
We then headed out to Franklin Park Conservatory because they were having a bring your American Girl Doll event!  The activity was a little old for her, but she loved being able to take her baby out on the town.  I just love watching her explore and take in the things around her!  And she was able to pick out a few things for her fairy garden this summer!
img_4003
And just like that we are almost in the home stretch!  I am 27 weeks with baby sister today and E has been super lovey dovey lately.  Especially about mommy, daddy, and babies.  She is ready to be a big sister!

And that’s about it for us!  What about you all?? What have you been up to?  Hope you are staying warm and well!

Have a great weekend!
Erin

Friday Favorites!

image1-2Happy Friday, friends!! It has been awhile since I’ve popped in to share what I am loving so today I thought I’d share a few things I have purchased recently or am seriously eyeing!

  1. You may have seen over on Instagram that Eleanor started swim lessons last weekend at Goldfish Swim School and according to the fabulous instructor, she acted perfectly normal for her first time.  More next week, but we do have another swim lesson coming up tomorrow and I thought maybe an adorable new suit would get us on the right track!  Can’t hurt, right?
  2. Ah, Valentine’s Day.  Really sneaking up here folks.  E and I got started on her Valentine’s last week. Which, can I just say, are really hard to find??  They are all character ones!  I’m assuming that’s all the kiddos want.  MEHHHHHH.  I’ll just have to keep Valentine’s Day character free on my end with This cute mug.
  3. These days I kinda feel like Regina ‘but this is all that fits me right now’ George.  $13 Oversized Sweaters and anything that covers m’ compression hose are staples around here.
  4. I’ve said it about a thousand times and I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it in every round up, but if you haven’t gotten This lip treatment and this lotion stop what you are doing and get them. Now.
  5. I gotta say…even though the veins and compression hose are a real nuisance, I’m blessed that the majority of my pregnancies have fallen in the fall and winter so that I can wear boots (pretty much the only shoes you can wear with the hose without looking ridiculous).  I have my eye on these cute booties!
  6. How cute is this sweatshirt for E?!  I didn’t think it was possible, but toddler clothes might be even cuter than baby clothes.
  7. Speaking of which, I remember distinctly sitting in the waiting room with Matt at the gender appointment and saying, “well, if it’s a girl, we won’t have to buy anything!” HA.  The second we left that appointment, like literally in the car, I started ordering.  Turns out I might just have a buying little things for cute little people problem.  Whatevs.  I am totally getting these boots to match E’s rain boots.
  8. And she needs her own swaddles.  It’s not like Eleanor is sharing.  Gah, I can already see the fights.
  9. We started decorating E’s big girl room that she will move into sometime in the next 5-6 months…trying to do it sort of gradually and before she really places permanence on the room she is in now…I will do a full post soon!  But, we have picked up a few pieces here and there like this pillowcase!
  10. I CANNOT wait to get an art table and chairs set up!  Just patiently waiting for a sale and then I will be snagging these up!

What all are you loving right now?? Any big plans for the weekend??  Hope it’s a great one!
    Erin

You guys!! We have another sweet babe on the way!  Emotionally, we float somewhere between extreme excitement and oh my gosh, we will have two under two!  We wanted our first two close in age and E and this babe will be 17ish months apart I think?  We are due June 2, 2017 which puts me at 12 weeks, but I look about 20 weeks!  I kind of like it though because I feel like pregnancy is more fun/easier when people know and can tell!  Eleanor has also suddenly become obsessed with babies which is interesting.  She points to babies and says baba (which is actually what she calls everything, but it’s a different baba sounds which totally makes sense, right?).  There’s a new baby at the sitter so they have been practicing gentle touches and she pretty much insists on seeing the baby every few minutes.

It’s safe to say we can’t wait to meet you, little one!

Life Lately…

baby, blog, blogger, bump, Christmas, diaper bag, holiday, Life, pregnancy, preparation, style

I sat and attempted to curate the perfect diaper bag and I am pretty sure I have failed miserably.  I am noticing a trend with all things baby–live and learn!  We are ready to start!

We have so so much to do still, but alas, this is all I have the energy for…

Everywhere we look there are so many cute reminders that baby is just around the corner!

I managed three Christmas parties in the last week and a blogger brunch!  I’ll call that a social success as I’m pretty sure that’s more socialization than I did my entire pregnancy!

I just adore the network of ladies I’ve met through blogging in Columbus.  This past weekend we headed to The Guild House for a little holiday celebration!

We also hosted a favorites party for my work peeps this week!  You bring three of your favorite $10 items (can make any limit) and then, if you have a large group, draw names for three rounds of choosing from all the favorite items!  When you leave, you have three of your friends’ favorite items!  If you have a smaller group, you can bring enough for everyone and do a smaller dollar amount.  I have also done challenges like favorite $2 item for the kitchen! So much fun!

My last to-do was oh so important.  Nails.  Had to do something to feel a little pretty in all the chaos!

And now we wait.  We are officially scheduled for induction Sunday at 9 p.m. if nothing happens sooner!  We have been anticipating this weekend for so many months/years.  I remember our first appointment so clearly.  I went by myself (tricked Matt a little) so that I could do a little surprise announcement for him after I knew for sure…I was so nervous and then everything just felt right when they walked in and told me the best news of my life.  I was a mama.  Now, in just a matter of hours, we get to meet that sweet babe!

Next time we chat, baby will be here!
Have a great weekend, friends!
Erin
