Oh happy day! I have the day off and the hubby is going on a guy’s weekend. Starting today. I have the whole weekend to myself. I love ‘me’ time and I just don’t get enough of it. I will be soaking up every minute. First things first….shopping! Some essentials are in order!

1. Frills Hair Bands. Practical and sassy.

2. PEI-Design Notepad. Gotta have a plan! But, mostly I just love notepads.

3. Yellow Pen. Safe to say I am obsessed with these pens! So many great colors!

4. Go Be Lovely Lavish Hand Cream. Have you all checked out Illume’s new packaging? It is to die for!

5. Market Tote.

6. Cleo Blue Suede Loafers.

Happy weekend!
Erin

Hi friends! So sorry for the radio silence this week! March is living up to what we thought it would be… busy!

I’ve started the month working 24 ER shifts so my days are a little off. I can’t believe it’s already Thursday! That means a little over 2 weeks until I find out where I matched for residency! Holy anxiety!

residency match countdown

Here are some little details from February!

nat and busby

Met KC’s most famous weatherman at brunch one morning. We’re practically best friends now. True story. He bought our drinks! See? Best friends.

I was totally that goob in the restaurant that not so discretely announced to the table that a famous person was sitting across the room. He definitely noticed when a table of five all turned to look at him at once. Oh well… we got free mimosas and I made a new best friend. Win win.

westport cafe and bar

Some of our dearest friends came into town with their new little one and it was such a fun time seeing them. Their babe is the cutest! We started the weekend with dinner and drinks at a fabulous little restaurant in KC, Westport Cafe and Bar. The atmosphere was terribly chic and the food was delicious!

wedding invites

Our wedding invites came in the mail! Can’t wait to send these beauties out!

wilson

Can’t end a post without Wilson. Our sweet Wilson. Our sweet Wilson who chewed half his tennis ball and now wears it as a nose. I think we’ll keep him.

Hope March is treating you well!

Happy Thursday, loves!

Natalie

Hello, dear readers! I hope you’re all recovering well from a snazzy Valentine’s day and a relaxing (and/or crazy fun) weekend!

We laid MAJORLY low on V-day evening to catch up on season 2 of House of Cards. Ummm… holy crap??! Can we please talk about this show?! My boys kept me company on the couch while I did some serious stressing about it.

tad and wilson

On Saturday morning I had a girls brunch with some fabulous friends of mine from school. A morning brunch turned into four and a half hours… we blame it on the bottomless mimosas! Catching up with girlfriends is so therapeutic.

Tad, mom, and I met with the wedding cake group on Sunday… I was positively giddy when I left! I can’t wait for the big day! I try to wear my sparkly shoes to all of the wedding activities/meetings. They just always seem to match my wedding mood!

glitter flats

I’ve been catching up on my snail mail lately thanks to Ashley at One Fine Day! These pen pals are too fun!

We stayed up entirely too late last night watching more House of Cards episodes, so we’re moving kiiiiinda slow this morning.

However, like Tad said last night, “If you’re not wobbling in on a Monday, you’re not livin’!”

Happy Monday!

I’m back! Yeesh, it’s been a crazy past week. Like Erin said, sometimes life’s lemons can make some pretty good lemonade. I’ve been busy traveling for interview season but can finally say I’m done. Only a few more rotations stand between me and graduation! Can I get an amen?! I’m ready for the next chapter of life… marriage, being a doctor, having an actual job, and ummm… having an actual job.

Here are some things I’ve been eyeing and trying this past week!

This Budweiser puppy video went viral last week and made it’s official appearance during the Super Bowl. Let’s just say I needed to be picked up off the floor after I saw it. TOO MUCH CUTENESS. Wilson needs a puppy friend to be #bestbuds, and Tad and I decided we have one too many phone chargers that need to be chewed. I think another trip to the animal shelter might be in store for us this year!

In the mood for more tears? In case you missed it, here’s a real tear jerker.

I’m currently in the thick of wedding planning and my dear friend, Jane, sent me this list of wedding tricks. Can you say ‘Best Bridesmaid’ award?

Need to make these sweet treats ASAP.

Dannijo is now in the purse business! This sister duo is always on target. Their necklaces? Swoooon…

Anthropologie’s new dinner collection, Jardin Des Plantes. I’ll take one of each, please!

Decided to change up the skin care routine to include Mario Badescu products. So far so good!

New BHLDN wedding gowns. Can I please get married 50,000 times so I can wear each one of these dresses? K thanks.

With residency interviews over, I’ll be toasting with this cocktail! Perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Needing a pick-me-up for your January fitness resolution? Check out this great list of fitness sites.

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and are surviving the crazy winter weather! If you’re somewhere warm and sunny, enjoy a few minutes outside for us? I can’t wait for the days when we don’t freeze our tootsies off as soon as we walk outside!

Happy Monday!

Natalie
