Hey all! Confession time. I have literally been laying on the couch for 24 hours. The cause? Orange is the New Black. I have had a hard time relaxing over the last few months. I just haven’t found the time to just sit down. I felt I deserved a little R&R before the swing of the new job begins. Luckily, I found a dear companion in the form of the best new television show. It’s gritty, witty, and you cannot watch just one. You better block out a week.

The whole first season is loaded on Netflix and I’m dying to hear what you think so get watching!

Happy first day of August folks! I cannot believe it is already August–this summer is flying by! The start of August means it’s almost time to head back to school! Time to sharpen those pencils, fill those binders with crisp new paper, and pack that backpack! Here are a few of my favorite back to school finds!

1. Hot pink Washi tape. The possibilities are endless.

6. Brand new Poppin Blue Planner. The best part of the new school year is the newness of it all. New clothes, new supplies, new teacher, new students. The anticipation of what the year will bring.

Ok. Has anyone else read this book? I was super excited to read The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling after nearly a decade of Harry Potter awe.

The premise of this book is a man, Barry Fairbrother, dies, leaving his seat on the local parish council vacant. The other members of the town then begin vying for the position, but it doesn’t take long before their close kept secrets come out. Sounds intriguing right? Well, the plot is interesting, but it just kinda drags on. Good idea…bad execution.

I normally love everything I read, but this book just didn’t do it for me….did anyone else feel this way?

Also looking for new book suggestions! Have you all read anything good lately? Right now I’ve got the new Jeannette Walls book on the horizon!

Wedding Wednesday (and a royal baby!)

Can we all just take a minute (or 10) and ogle over this picture of Will, Kate, and baby? I mean come onnnnn… does it get any cuter than this?? While searching for this pic, I stumbled across TONS of pictures of the adorable couple and the next thing you know… 30 minutes had passed! I guess you can say I’m slightly obsessed. They are SUCH beautiful people so it’s hard not to be totally mesmerized. And Kate’s clothes?? I die. I think I’m more obsessed with the duchess’ outfits than anything else!

And in case you missed the footage… what I wouldn’t give to be there!

Okay, back to business. Let’s talk wedding! Some big things happened over the weekend (found my wedding dress! and the bridesmaids’ dresses!) so I’m in major wedding mode. I’m scouting Pinterest like crazy and I’m always on the lookout for cute, new ideas! Here’s a round-up of what I’ve found this week!
