In true memoir fashion, this book is full of life’s unpleasant moments. The author grows up in a house full of drugs and alcohol and eventually finds herself on the same path. The great thing about this book is Domenica’s trueness up to her present self. There are also so many laugh out loud moments in this book. Still Alice

Ok….are you ready for a serious, can’t catch your breath cry? This book is a serious tear jerker. I’m getting a lot of book recommendations from my dear friend Linda and she loves a good tear jerker. For whatever reason….I’m kinda on her level these days. I read this book in one sitting. Could not put it down! It is about a woman in her early fifties who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s at the peak of her career. I love how the author shows the progression of Alice’s disease from Alice’s perspective. It is amazing to watch not only her mental progression, but also how her priorities change when every second counts. Ok, I am getting sappy over this book again! Seriously good read!!
