A night out at the baseball field was just what the doctor ordered.  All night it felt a little strange that this might be our last baseball game as a family of two.  Can’t wait to share our love of baseball with our little one!

Saturday morning planning and organizing might be my favorite.

I just have to do a little public service announcement about this maternity top.  I will be going and getting it in every single color.

The babe and I at 23 weeks out for a stroll after dinner!

We are in full nesting mode.  I got to do a little prepping upstairs while Matt and his step dad worked away on the basement!

Spent a beautiful Saturday at the winery for a wedding.

We had a doctor’s appointment yesterday.  Heartbeat was 150 and everything is looking great!  Next up, glucose test!

and finally…a huge GOOD LUCK to Natalie as she takes her next round of boards today!! You’ve got this sista!! Love you!
That’s it for me!  Hope you are all having a marvelous start to the week!
Erin

We hit the halfway mark!  It seems strange now that in less time than I have already spent with the babe, he or she will be here!  I hate to wish away the time, but we are so excited to meet this little one!

Ah, the sweet feeling of a brand new planner!  If you’ve had your eye on this one, you better hurry and grab one because they are almost sold out!

Matt and I celebrated four years this past week.  When I start thinking about how time flies, I remind myself that in October we will have been dating for ten.  WHAT?!

21 weeks!

Pretty much everyday I come home from school and crawl right back into bed.  This week, I decided to change it up a bit and head out for coffee with a friend.  Good conversation, perky decor, and the best dang decaf latte around.  Pistacia Vera might be my new after school hangout.

At now almost 22 weeks, my feet are disappearing and bending over is getting much harder–much less putting on these dang compression hose.  Still, it is such a joy to look down and see the growing babe!  Life is just better with you around, kiddo!

It’s been a busy, but happy couple of weeks!  What about you all, what have you been up to?
Hope you have a snazzy weekend–starting to feel a little like fall out there!  Eek!
Erin

I have several close friends and family members who are also expecting little bundles of joy here in the next few months.  It has been so much fun chatting with them about the strangeness that is pregnancy and of course showering them with gifts and love!

While in St. Louis for my cousin Katie’s baby shower, it was a must that we stop by the Kate Spade outlet.  Talk about a dangerous place.  Sensory overload.

The babe and I at 18 weeks!

After returning from St. Louis, I pretty much hopped right back in the car and headed down to West Virginia where I meet my Richmond teaching friends halfway a couple of times a year.  It is a time I look forward to every couple of months.  I miss these girls like crazy and feel so blessed we have remained close!

As soon as I arrived at our hotel, they had the sweetest surprise baby shower set up, complete with sparkling lemonade and cupcakes.  Baby is already so loved!

Upon returning from travels feeling puffy and tired, the reality of heading back to school hit me square in the face.  The only remedy was gathering my supplies for my classroom and heading over to get it all set up.  Every year this immediately gets me excited for the new year.  We had our teacher work week this week and the kids start Monday and I can honestly say I am ready and excited to get back to it!

The babe and I at 19 weeks!

We got to see our peanut this week!  The best part of the appointment was looking over at Matt and seeing his face as he watched our little one squirm around.  He is going to be the best dad.  Next time we see you little one, you will be in our arms!

I thought I would close with the photo that has left us giggling all week.  As soon as the person doing our ultra sound saw this pop up on the screen she exclaimed, “woah, big feet!”  We had to laugh.  Mama and papa both have very large feet and we have always said this kid was doomed to have clodhoppers!  Sorry, kiddo!

So, what have you all been up to?  Hope you are enjoying the sunshine! Have a great weekend!
Erin

Last weekend we went to visit our sister Sarah up in Madison, Wisconsin! Such a fun city!!  We rented a pontoon on lake Mendota on Friday.  It was good to be on the water–made it officially feel like summer!  That night we headed to The Old Fashioned where we ate our fair share of cheese curds.  The next morning we got up bright and early to check out the farmer’s market at the Capitol.  If you’ve been to Madison, most likely you’ve been to this market.  It is seriously one of the neatest markets I’ve ever been to.  Spicy cheese bread from Stella’s, bright fruits and veggies, and, of course, a large cookie that the baby insisted on!

After a few rounds at the market, we headed to Winga Park, where the group paddle boarded.  I didn’t feel comfortable trying it for the first time pregnant so I was the official photographer!  We wrapped up the evening and weekend watching the fireworks over the lake at Paisan Restaurant.

Thank you, Sarah, for an amazing weekend!  We can’t wait to come back!  I am now sitting waiting to board my flight to Kansas City for my cousin Katie’s baby shower and some more quality family time!  Off to the next adventure!

Happy Thursday, friends!
Erin
