Well happy Wednesday, friends!! Phew–things are getting real around the Johnson household. We are finding that every minute is consumed with baby to-dos.  Then about halfway through accomplishing a baby related task, I usually cry because I realize we only have NINE more weeks of just Matt and I after TEN years of just us.  This baby is such a blessing and we are finding ourselves more and more excited for their arrival each day, but we also know how much is going to change–and that is just a tad scary!  It also didn’t help that when we mentioned to our doctor’s office that we were traveling this weekend, they suggested we go ahead and pack our carseat, hospital bags, and copy of medical records just in case.  Insert wide-eyed emoji here.

Ok, so let’s get to the nitty gritty.  Baby stuff is on the brain so prepare yourself for overload the next 2 months. Sorry in advance.

  1. Teething necklace.  Functional and cute.  Yep!
  2. Halloween Cards.  The best holiday is upon us!! Wouldn’t miss a chance to send a little spooky mail!
  3. Sugar Paper Signature Pen.
  4. These gold earrings are to die for and they are only $12.  Score.
  5. Floral Power Trip Cord.  I feel like I am always on the go these days, a backup charger and this car charger are essentials.
  6. Essie ‘After School Boy Blazer’.
  7. Kai Body Lotion.
  8. So, June and January just launched their fall line and it includes dozens of new pieces that are gender neutral like this bib.  Swoon.
  9. This basket is just begging to be filled with cute baby toys.
  10. Ok, so this reptile pillow is a little boyish.  We can’t help it.  We are 99% sure that’s what we are having so it couldn’t hurt just to get this and then worst case scenario, girls like dinosaurs too?

What all are you guys loving this week?  Any baby goods I am missing???

Hope you have a great rest of the week–2 more days!
Erin

Good morning!! I am going to make this short and sweet. This mama is so ready for the weekend. It has been a busy week! This weekend is looking so, so good. Here’s what I am loving this week!

  1. This pumpkin is calling my name!

2. Nars Audacious Lipstick.

3. Opal Studs.

4. The very best things about fall.

5. Pretzel Rattle.

6. Reversible Tote.  The inside of this bag is so good.  Pretty reasonable price for say, a baby bag?

7. Mommy Bodysuit.  The kid can’t have too many of these, simply because we will all know he or she will most definitely prefer daddy.

8. At a mere $7, I feel like these adorable little booties are a must.

So, that’s it for me!  What have you been loving this week?  Hope you all have some snazzy plans for the weekend!
Erin

Fall Boots!

Last year, I stumbled upon these beauties at Nordstrom Rack.  I absolutely could not wear them enough last year.  Now that I have to wear a compression hose/legging combo pretty much everyday–and flats look kinda strange with m’hose sticking out–I would like to invest in another boot option that aren’t my two pairs of Hunters.  I love my rain boots, but if it’s not raining, they also don’t make a lot of sense.  SO:  this is where you all come in!  Here are some options I am considering…I need your help picking!
20150918-062440.jpg

  1. These black boots seem really practical.  Low heel and would pretty much go with anything.  I feel like a large person most days with the belly so I am thinking I should go with a low heel to avoid being any “bigger”, but also feel just from a comfort standpoint these would do nicely!
  2. Ok so I understand that these look a lot like the ones I already have.  BUT they have a much lower heel and I love the ones I have oh so much?
  3. These are my more expensive option, but they look really durable and super fall-y!
  4. I like these for a couple of reasons; low heel, buckle, and would match everything.
  5. This boot has a lot going for it right now.  The price could not be better at $40–plus all clothing and shoes are buy one get one 50% off this week–and I am pretty sure I could find a second thing.  They also have a low heel and seem super practical–and they are nothing like the boots I already own.
  6. These are really on the list simply because I think they are darling.  They kinda look  like what I already have and the heel is pretty tall too.  Maybe next year?

So what do you all think?  Are there some other options out there that you love that I missed?  Please share!  Things are getting desperate!!

Hope you all have an excellent weekend!
Erin

Good morning, loves!  It’s been a doozy of a week over here so I for one am stoked about the impending weekend.  We have another weekend at home where I plan on putting my feet up, doing a little baking, and probably more online shopping.  The perfect weekend if you ask me!  Here’s what I am loving this week!

  1. There is greek yogurt in these cookies so I am almost positive that makes them healthy.
  2. I am not usually one to sit around and relax on the weekends, but lately it’s a must.  This blanket should pair nicely with my tufted ottoman I am currently using to prop up my feet and my fuzzy slippers!
  3. So, maybe you all have some advice here, but I feel like my phone has literally no storage space.  Right now there are around 30 pictures on it and it is taking up half the space.  I have to clear it out weekly–who knows how often I will have to clear it out once baby arrives.   Definitely going to need a cute flash drive!  Although, we have found that that this baby is already like their father because as soon as I try to film the kicks, they suddenly cease.  Camera goes off; you know the drill.  Cute, but frustrating.
  4. This week my mantra has been breathe.  Between seriously bruised and swollen ankles and a little trouble sleeping with my growing belly, we have also been on our first maternity tour and going on our second tonight.  Let me just say, I cried four  times at the first hospital.  I think it should be a rule that they cannot take expectant mothers by the nursery.  Every single one of us was crying.  It makes it all feel so real.  But in all honesty, despite that I now have to plan my outfits around a maternity girdle and compression hose, this little nugget brings me so much joy already.  Annnnnd I am crying again.
  5. Santa, I need this face mask.  And pretty much everything else fresh makes. Thanks!
  6. You guys!  This dry shampoo works.  I know you all may not be the dry shampoo freaks that I am, but I literally never leave the house without it.  I usually opt for the powder, but this spray is heavenly I tell you!
  7. SO to make myself feel better about having to buy a maternity belt, I went ahead and splurged on this purse.  When the large Target box arrived and out spilled all the maternity stuff, even the hubby wasn’t mad about this purchase.  Mama needed a treat too!
  8. Noble Carriage seriously has the cutest stuff.  This adorable teether included.  If you have baby fever, steer clear.
  9. Why, oh why are onesies with sayings on them so stinking cute?!
  10. Again, most of my outfits are designed to hide m’ hose so boots are pretty much all I can wear–usually paired with leggings and a long shirt.  So, I am thinking about splurging on another pair for fall.  What do we think about this option?  I am tempted, but also think I need a pair with a slightly shorter heel?  Thoughts? Suggestions?

I hope you all had an amazing week and have a wonderful weekend!
Cheers!
Erin
