20150807-062150.jpgHappy Friday!! I kinda, a teensy bit, forgot how happy Fridays make me. For a little bit there, I was becoming blissfully unaware of what day it was.  With school back in full force, I am FULLY aware of what day it is and man am I glad it’s Friday!  Here’s what’s keeping me sane this week!

  1. This shirt describes my week perfectly.  I love what I do, but by the end of the day I feel like I have been hit by a train.

2. How darling are these paperweights?  Give me all the office supplies.

3. This refreshing mist seems like something I should have in my desk.

4. I have so many reasons to celebrate lately, so confetti is a must.

5. Ever since Ashley over at One Fine Day posted about Noble Carriage, I’ve been obsessed.  I have to have This Frog.  Why oh why is it sold out?!

6. Gotta have this sweater.  I might be bias, but I’m pretty sure this kid is already kinda the best.

7. YOU GUYS!  We felt our first kick!  I’m supposed to be writing this stuff down right?!  I think this baby book will do just fine!

Hope you all had a marvelous week and have an even better weekend!
Erin

Last weekend we went to visit our sister Sarah up in Madison, Wisconsin! Such a fun city!!  We rented a pontoon on lake Mendota on Friday.  It was good to be on the water–made it officially feel like summer!  That night we headed to The Old Fashioned where we ate our fair share of cheese curds.  The next morning we got up bright and early to check out the farmer’s market at the Capitol.  If you’ve been to Madison, most likely you’ve been to this market.  It is seriously one of the neatest markets I’ve ever been to.  Spicy cheese bread from Stella’s, bright fruits and veggies, and, of course, a large cookie that the baby insisted on!

After a few rounds at the market, we headed to Winga Park, where the group paddle boarded.  I didn’t feel comfortable trying it for the first time pregnant so I was the official photographer!  We wrapped up the evening and weekend watching the fireworks over the lake at Paisan Restaurant.

Thank you, Sarah, for an amazing weekend!  We can’t wait to come back!  I am now sitting waiting to board my flight to Kansas City for my cousin Katie’s baby shower and some more quality family time!  Off to the next adventure!

Happy Thursday, friends!
Erin

20150706-082718.jpgGood morning!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  We had an absolute blast with family this weekend up in Madison.  There will definitely be a recap coming later this week! Today, I wanted to share some goodies I have been eyeing and while I would like to say not every goody round-up post I share will include baby stuff–I cannot resist.  Buying baby items not only makes it feel real, everything is also so yummy.  So small, so soft, so darling!  I have been buying a few things here and there if I find a good deal–trying not to go too overboard!  Here’s what I am loving this week!

1. I want all the baby bear stuff.  As you can tell from our announcement post, we love da baby bear theme.  I say we keep it going with this darling pennant.

2. I haven’t had any cravings per se, but I have upped my ice cream intake slightly.  This local favorite has me drooling.

3. Turtle Tray.  Swoon.

4. The cutest teether you ever did see.

5. These darling jeans are out of stock–so bummed! Is there anything cuter than skinny jeans on a baby?

6. Brimful has an assortment of simple, but cute baby items.  These rattles are no exception!

7. Love the look of this stool.  This is a super expensive option and a little out of our decorative budget.  Darn!  On the hunt for something similar!

8. I saw these sandals in store the other day and I about fell over.  They were so tiny and I could just see our little munchkin’s feet running/crawling around in them next summer!

What about you all?  What are you loving this week?

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Erin

Life Lately…

 The bump at 14 weeks!

This goodness

We found this chair for $4 at a garage sale!  Matt gave it a little lift with some bright yellow spray paint for the nursery!

How in the world is it already July?!

15 week bump–definitely feel like it fluctuates in size!

I have been using these products daily.  You can find them at Target now which is absolutely amazing.  Currently if you buy one you can get the second 25% off!  Take a look at their whole line!  They have fabulous products!

I am officially 16 weeks this Saturday and I feel like time is flying by.  The first few weeks, when no one knew yet, time seemed to drag a little–plus I was seriously exhausted.  Now that I am in my second trimester, my energy levels are returning and the summer months have provided a little reprieve from my normally hectic schedule.  I have still stayed plenty busy with summer school, my internship, and nannying most evenings, but there are more breaks in the day for a little nap or to relax a little.  Overall, I feel really great (I have only had one emotional breakdown–which is actually less than the non-preggo norm).

This weekend, Matt and I are heading to Madison, Wisconsin for a family get together and we have been bouncing around the house all week with excitement.  Family time is just what the doctor ordered!

What about you guys, what have you been up to??  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!!
Erin

Good morning, friends! I cannot thank you enough for all of the kind words and love that you all showed us after we made our special announcement last week! We are over the top excited and are thrilled that we can finally share what we’ve been up to with you guys!

I am a wee bit of a planner and over-preparer, but Matt and I have not decided if we are going to find out the gender. So, I have been trying my best to load up on all things gender neutral, but some things are just too cute to pass up! Eeek! It’s all just so fun.

Here’s what I am loving this week for mama and baby!

1. Warby Parker Quinby in Aurora Sunglasses.

2. Kate Spade Beryl Green Stud Earrings.

3. Saint James Stripe Shirt. Bummer–this beauty is sold out. Looks long and roomy–two musts these days.

4. Orange Scallop Pillowcase. I am on the hunt for cute pillows for the nursery. Since we may not find out, I am trying to stick with neutral colors. Orange is a neutral, right?

5. Design Mom: How to Live with Kids: A Room by Room Guide.

6. Kiehl’s Creme de Corps. I have been slathering this stuff on like nobody’s business. Stops the itching and feels like it’s preventing stretch marks?

7. Girl’s Knotted Headband. June and January is seriously the cutest shop for girl’s clothes. Gah. I want everything!

8. Swell Water Bottle. Trying to stay hydrated in this heat!

9. Madewell Transport Tote.

10. Freshly Picked Moccasins. Seriously so cute. Need them in every single color.

11. Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush. 12 hours? Yes, please!

Hope you all had a fantastic week and have a very happy weekend!
Erin
