Eleanor is getting more and more curious about the world around her.  It is so fun to watch!

Our little Valentine needed a little  spoiling this holiday!  We gave her this book, these leggings, this giraffe, and a lovely tee from Jean and June!

I hope hope hope her eyes stay this blue.  Alas, genetics will probably turn them green/brown.  Also:  this was her third Valentine’s day outfit due to a series of lovely blowouts.

You guys.  I printed pictures.  Like, actually, physically printed them.  500 of them.  My mom was the best about taking and printing pictures when we were kids and it is so so fun looking through all of them.  I resolve to be better!

Reading to E is just about my favorite thing to do.  Books with lots of colors and almost no words are her favorite.  We love this book!

Today was E’s two month appointment.  I was absolutely dreading it.  Not only does it mean she is getting big, but it was the SHOTS appointment.  I brought all of her favorite things and I skipped the mascara!

Turns out the appointment was harder for me.  She let out a little cry, but they are fast and before we knew it, it was over.  Now let the extra cuddles commence!

Next week she officially turns two months!  Back to the dreaded yellow chair we go!  She will definitely thank me one day.  I am sure of it.

Have a great weekend, friends!
Erin

We officially brought our sweet pea home December 22nd!  It was a surreal experience walking her through our door and showing her her new home!
(Home Onesie, Bear Slippers-Gap old, may be able to find on clearance in-store?, Swaddle Blanket-JCrew old)

We had two doctor’s appointments for her in the first week and we were late for both, but she did great!  Back to birth weight within a week!
(Booties-$5 and free shipping!, Car Seat, Diaper Bag)

Santa was good to this mama. This year–he knew just what I needed to feel like a human again!
(Sugar Lip Treatment, NARS Eye Makeup Remover, Bare Minerals Foundation, Sephora Sleeping Mask, Gingham Pouch)

It was a Happy New Year indeed.  2015 was so so good to us, but we can’t wait for all the fun in 2016!
(Headband, Onesie-JCrew Old)

We are finally getting some snow and some colder temps!  Our weekends have mostly consisted of laying around in our pjs, making a big pot of soup, and bottomless cups of coffee.
(Mug-TJMaxx)

 Her feet absolutely kill me.
(Onesie and Leggings-Target, Rockaroo Infant Seat)

Eleanor is still not so sure about bathtime.  She sure loves to cuddle after though!
(Babyganics Shampoo + Body Wash, Changing Mat, Duck Bath Towel)

We have had so many wonderful visitors over the last month.  This nursing scarf allows Eleanor and me to actually be with everyone and not holed up in a room!  For 15% off your purchase use code PLANNINGPARIS15!  I love all of their patterns!

I was able to get out of the house this weekend and all I wanted to do was go look for clothes for baby girl!  Paying full price for baby stuff is just not really my style unless it is something I HAVE to have.  I decided to stop in Once Upon A Child and most of the items were barely touched!  Some of the items I found still had tags!  This is my new spot, I tell you!

So that’s our last month in a nutshell!  It has been such an incredible (and fast) month since our little one entered this world!  We can’t thank you enough for all of the love and support!

Hope you all have a great start to the week!
Erin

I sat and attempted to curate the perfect diaper bag and I am pretty sure I have failed miserably.  I am noticing a trend with all things baby–live and learn!  We are ready to start!

We have so so much to do still, but alas, this is all I have the energy for…

Everywhere we look there are so many cute reminders that baby is just around the corner!

I managed three Christmas parties in the last week and a blogger brunch!  I’ll call that a social success as I’m pretty sure that’s more socialization than I did my entire pregnancy!

I just adore the network of ladies I’ve met through blogging in Columbus.  This past weekend we headed to The Guild House for a little holiday celebration!

We also hosted a favorites party for my work peeps this week!  You bring three of your favorite $10 items (can make any limit) and then, if you have a large group, draw names for three rounds of choosing from all the favorite items!  When you leave, you have three of your friends’ favorite items!  If you have a smaller group, you can bring enough for everyone and do a smaller dollar amount.  I have also done challenges like favorite $2 item for the kitchen! So much fun!

My last to-do was oh so important.  Nails.  Had to do something to feel a little pretty in all the chaos!

And now we wait.  We are officially scheduled for induction Sunday at 9 p.m. if nothing happens sooner!  We have been anticipating this weekend for so many months/years.  I remember our first appointment so clearly.  I went by myself (tricked Matt a little) so that I could do a little surprise announcement for him after I knew for sure…I was so nervous and then everything just felt right when they walked in and told me the best news of my life.  I was a mama.  Now, in just a matter of hours, we get to meet that sweet babe!

Next time we chat, baby will be here!
Have a great weekend, friends!

Good morning and a very happy Saturday to you all! It has been a whirlwind the last couple of weeks with the baby shower, my mom and sister visiting, wrapping up my final project for my master’s, tying things up at work, and last, but not least, prepping for BABY! We are 38 weeks today and we have moments where we sit back and say we are totally ready and then have moments (like when we realize that we haven’t installed the car seat) that we begin to panic. I find myself crying for no reason lately. I get really happy, then really sad about something I would never normally get sad about (I cried the other night because our new favorite show, Fargo, wasn’t ending fast enough and I wanted to go to bed).

SO–for this year’s Christmas gift guide…I am not going to pretend I know what grown up people want. I gathered up what’s on my wishlist this year which to be honest consists mostly of adult beverages and things I think will help make me feel like a human once baby arrives! SO here it goes!

  1. My all-time favorite Lip Balm.
  2. Kate Spade La Pavillion Set. We haven’t really gotten new towels or oven mitts since the wedding–we are overdue and these are darling!
  3. I saw this candy concoction at Nordstrom the other day and I just thought they were so cute! So fun for a holiday party!
  4. Wine plus cute packaging? Yes!
  5. Sayings on wine glasses are the best reminders!
  6. I try to stock up on my makeup essentials at Christmas like my Bare Minerals Foundation.
  7. …and NARS Blush.
  8. This ornament is just darling and until tomorrow everything at Papersource is 20% of with code FALALA!
  9. I have vowed to be better at getting pictures printed and I think it would help if I had some cute albums like this one!
  10. I have had my eye on this tote for years and with a momentous Christmas ahead, graduating with my master’s on the same day I am due, and 30 creeping up in early January, I think this needs to be the year for a very grown up bag!
  11. This book will just make me think I actually have a plan for keeping my house functional and cute post baby.
  12. Yes, to all things Essie.

So, what’s on your list?? Hope you are all making headway on your Christmas shopping list!

Have a great weekend,
Erin
