VALENTINE’s DAY is HERE!  I’m finally coming out of my coma of newborn stage now that C is mostly sleeping through the night.  And I’m ready to get back to sharing all the things I love!
And can you all tell I love shopping for the girls?!  Nevermind I haven’t gotten myself a new pair of pants in 2 years.  Either way, I feel very on top of things this year, but it is mostly because these snow days are really testing my sanity by about noon so nap time = shopping time!  Plus, is it just me or are there some seriously good deals out there right now!?!

Here’s what the girls are getting this year for the ol’ LOVE day!

Books
1. Love is a Truck also very cute paired with the book Love is a Tutu (would be seriously cute for a brother/sister gift!)
2. Besos for Baby
3. This is Not a Valentine
4. Huggy Kissy

PJS
5. Both girls are getting these!

Gifts
6. Heart Pom Pillow for Claire
7. Be Mine Pouch for E
8. Also, I got these boots with V-Day in mind, but with all the snow I think I’ll just give them to her.  With coupon codes, I got them for $15.  Seriously.  If you have a girl, GET THEM. Great deal. **Right now they are $17.99 shipped with code FRESHSTYLE, ITSFREE, and check your email for a unique code for an additional $10 off!
9. Contemplating this necklace for E…
10. Plus red/pink candy, pouches, fruit snacks, etc…

Festive Decor
11. E is going to go to the store and pick out her own Valentine’s–I CANNOT WAIT
12. Stickers
13. How cute are these plates?!

If you need a few other ideas (especially for cute books) you can take a look back at what I got for E last year!  Crazy that this is E’s 3rd Valentine’s day!

What are you all getting your littles?  There’s still time for me to really have this get out of control!  Send me all the ideas!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Erin

We celebrated Eleanor’s first birthday with our family a little bit before her actual birthday to make her day separate from the holidays.  It was such a special day celebrating our special girl!
img_1394
My dad stayed an extra week to watch E and we had the best time.  It snowed so I was able to stay home a bit as well!  Eleanor loved getting out in the snow and trying out the sled grandpa made for her!
img_1418
Teaching her early that gratitude is key.  We love these crayons…she can grip them and actually color a bit!
img_1485
E snuck in a kiss right as I snapped the pic.  Be still my heart.
img_1821
We headed to Kansas City for the holidays (I went a little early with my dad since I get a bit more time off than Matt).  It was so good to catch up with friends and family!img_1766
I am obsessed with this picture.  My mom get E this Mini Boden dress for Christmas and I couldn’t resist getting this matching one for baby sister for next Christmas.  Gah!!
img_1863
While in KC we made a stop at IKEA to get loaded up for E’s big room.  I cannot wait to start putting it together!
img_1864
E kills me in this turtleneck  in this picture.  And the fur vest?  And boots?  At IKEA?!
img_1891
We kept E’s nursery gender neutral (as we didn’t find out the gender) and so it just hasn’t felt like ‘her room’.  We have been gathering all the pieces of what will be her little space for her new room so we can prepare the nursery again for baby sister!

E got this chair and PJ set for Christmas and really hasn’t been out of either since.
img_2011
We found out that Eleanor will be getting a baby SISTER in June!  We are beyond thrilled.
img_2025
I’ve been nesting like crazy.  Sorting ‘baby’ toys from the ‘toddler’ toys.  Dare I say it’s been fun?  We are loving the addition of these blocks to E’s collection.

Pretty much all of December and into January (including my 31st birthday) we all had the sickies.  Just passed it back and forth.  I guess we shall blame all the kisses.  Oh, and Eleanor is getting 3 molars now, and she got one in December.  Safe to say, we are ready for warmer, healthier days.

Girl loves to accessorize and brush her teeth.

These boots have pretty much been on her since she got them from her Aunt Nennie and I really don’t see them leaving her feet anytime soon.  I mean, holy cuteness.

What about you all?!  What the heck have you been up to??

Have a great day!
Erin

Eleven months!  Holy cow!  We are only a month away from baby girl’s first birthday.  But, today we are going to focus on the last month, cause otherwise I’ll just start crying.  She learned so much this month.  She learned where her belly is…she lifts her shirt up, points, and says belllly!  She takes her blanket everywhere which is cute, but goodness, if you forget to take it.  Yikes.  When she gets excited she goes oooooooooo and sucks in her breath.  She’s actually been doing this for awhile, but it’s the cutest ever and I haven’t mentioned it yet.

She has four teeth and at least one more coming in!  Sleep and eating has pretty much stayed the same, but we are thinking it’s time to drop the morning nap and start introducing whole milk?  We are afraid to mess with too much though because we are in a nice groove.  We shall see!

And with all that, it’s party planning time!!!  We decided to distance her party from Christmas because as someone with a winter birthday knows, it stinks when it gets grouped. So that’s happening in 2 weeks! Better get started!

You make every day better, sweet pea!!

Winter Skincare with Meijer!

Good morning, friends!  Hope you are having a great week so far!  Today, I wanted to share some of the skincare items that have been a total lifesaver the last few months.  In addition to this skin-cracking weather, this lady has been battling some seriously dry skin due to the sheer amount of bottles that I wash on a daily basis.  My skin has also been totally out of whack since I had the lil’ lady and the extra strain with soap and hot water has not been ideal.

Have you ever tried the CeraVe product line?  I keep the makeup cloths right next to me at all times.  They are perfect for cleaning up spit ups that inevitably end up all the way down my arms!  I also use them at night when I only have about five seconds to complete my nightly routine because I refuse to waste one minute awake while the baby is sleeping!

The healing ointment is also something that I have added to my daily routine.  They come in twin packs so I keep one next to where I feed E and one in my purse.  While I sit and feed, I rub this ointment on my hands, with extra attention to the especially dry spots.

My bodywash and lotion game has also had to be refigured.  I now take two showers a day.  One during morning nap and one as soon as Matt gets home from work.  This was majorly drying out my skin until I introduced moisture-locking soap and then a moisture-rich lotion right after I get out of the shower.  I especially like the Jergens Ultra Healing and the Eucerin Skin Calming lotions!

This girl is definitely looking forward to some warmer temps–last weekend was such a tease! Until then, I am finding it critical to keep a variety of products on hand, literally.  All of these products can be found at Meijer and, as always, for a great deal!

What are you all doing to beat these skin-cracking temps?  Have you tried any of these products?   I would love to hear your tips!

Check back next week to see how I am preparing for Spring!!
Have a great day!
Erin
