IMG_7130IMG_7158IMG_7169IMG_7172IMG_7174IMG_7160IMG_7216IMG_7220Ten months is here!  Well like two weeks ago, but who’s counting?!  Hey.  I am ahead on birthday stuff.  Does that count?
With two kids now fully on the move we now feel like we have two toddlers under two on the move and not just two under two in the house generally speaking.  Trust me when I say those are two very different things.
Claire has herself a sassy, but sweet personality.  She loves to lay her head down on anything soft and/or your shoulder if you pick her up.  You’ll just look over and she’ll be laying down on the ground with her head on a pillow.
She can completely stand on her own and has taken a step here or there, but not walking  quite yet–any day now!  When she crawls she has what we call a Lurch leg.  One leg pops up funny, but it helps her go really fast.  And when she gets excited her feet start swirling and she sucks in air.  It’s actually kinda scary if you don’t know what she’s doing and you hear it out of nowhere.
She loves the bath, finger foods, and whatever Eleanor is doing.
She sleeps from 7-when we wake her up in the morning which is usually around 6:30, she will sleep a little later on the weekends.  She is down to one nap from about 12-3.  We aren’t sure if this is because that’s what E does and so we’ve helped her be on that schedule or if she’s just a one nap kinda gal.  E was taking two naps for a long time, but Claire just hasn’t been into it.  One nap suits her fine.  (we’re just happy she’s sleeping at all–if you take a look back you’ll remember this chick wasn’t really into sleep until about 6 months.)
She eats solids 5-6 times a day plus her almost 40 ounces of bottles.

Just like her sister, she’s also a champ in the car.  In her ten months we’ve traveled to Kansas City, Chicago, Memphis, Goshen, and a few other places and she just goes with the flow.  Sleeps after she eats and plays for a bit.  Sleeps in her Dockatot wherever we go and sleeps all night, even if she took two 3 hour naps in the car.

AND JUST LOOK AT THOSE TEETH!!  She’s got two more coming in on top and I think she’s in some pain–she’s having some trouble settling at night.  Hopefully they fully pop through soon!! Those first ones are a bear!!

We love you C!

And…here is E at Ten Months!

Claire is four months!  I actually took these photos only about 4 days late, but this post is almost two weeks late.   Sorry about that Claire!  We are in the middle of an intense sleep regression/teething situation.  She’s never been a great napper/sleeper, but this is really putting that into a whole new perspective.  She really really really loves her mama and is pretty much only calm in my arms.  She also loves to lay in a warm bath, watch her sissy, and has just recently started loving grabbing for objects.  She has rolled from front to back and is almost rolling from back to front.

She is still taking gripe water in her bottles which has really helped up until this little regression we are going through.  But let me tell you, those big ol’ smiles she flashes make it all worth it.

We love you, Claire!
…and here’s E at four months!

I cannot believe it has been since Before Claire that I did a life update.  And then we had her and our lives turned upside down!  So, here goes a very long post!
IMG_8699IMG_8776
We were VERY fortunate to have so many family members come and stay right after we had Claire.  It may have seemed like I was conquering all, but there was actually almost always a posse in the background and another set of troops back at the house cooking and cleaning.  Our tribe is amazing.
IMG_8921
We hit up almost every park in Columbus this summer, complete with picnics and trying to climb up every slide.  I was so glad I had this soothe shirt so that I had both hands free to play with E while still snuggling the babe!
IMG_8931
This girl and her fanciness crack me up.
IMG_9035
Getting out of the house was seriously one of the only ways we stayed sane in those first months.  E was entertained and we were able to eat hot food.  Win-win!
IMG_9150
We checked off several summer bucket list items this summer at Columbus Commons!
IMG_9168
Those snuggles make it all worth it I tell you!
IMG_9205
We have created a little laundry ritual that really only happens once every month (thank goodness we have two girls and have a ton of friends with girls–we have no shortage of clothes around here).  We pull their carts out during nap time and fold–then you can just roll it back in when they wake up!
IMG_9314
Eleanor turned 18 months and I shared some of our 12-18 Month Essentials!
IMG_9325
Like I said, getting out was a must, so we ventured out to check out the bunny splash pad in Dublin!
IMG_9413
I wrote a post about Establishing a Nighttime Routine!
IMG_9409
IMG_9489
If you live in Columbus.  Get a zoo pass.  We did the guest plus so that we could go on a playdate at the zoo!  We would take the mama on the pass with us and the kiddos under two get in free!!  Such a deal.
IMG_9616
This girl loves everything about holiday food.  Fourth of July munchies are no exception.
IMG_0022
Baseball love runs deep in our family.  We had to make it out to a Clippers game!
IMG_0139
I shared this car in my 12-18 Month Essentials post, but it also would have been good to add to The Perfect Baby Shower Gift post because oh my gosh this car has been an obsession from the minute she got it.  She will use it for years.
IMG_0266
Rib and Jazz fest in matching wellies!
IMG_0322
Hilliard Station Splash pad is amazing!!  I wrote a whole post right before I had C here.
IMG_0430
We also made it out on the lake.  Everyone was happy once the lifevests were on and we were moving.  It was really headed south for a minute there.
IMG_0530
IMG_0810
I partnered up with LÍLLÉbaby to share some tips on life with two under two!
IMG_086921371068_1428745973882239_4344483081112619564_n
Matt and I were able to sneak in a date night and it was SO very much needed.  When we are feeling pulled in a million directions, making time for us and for our relationship has to be a priority.  For your chance to enter to win a $100 gift card to Jord Watches all you have to do is fill out the form here!
IMG_0956
Claire turned One Month, Two Months, and Three Months and we shared a little bit about how we got her feeling a little better after month two!
IMG_9897
We shared A Goldfish Swim School update and a fun event happening for free here in Columbus!  Be sure to check it out!

AND PHEW!  That’s it for us.  With work, two kids, and a never ending to-do list, life has been a whirlwind, but we wouldn’t trade it for the world!

What have you guys been up to??  I feel like I am missing everything!  Fill me in!
Have a great weekend!
Erin

This month I partnered up with Lorena Canals Rugs to finish up E’s Big Girl Room!  We are so excited about the final result!  It is just perfect for our sweet girl!
IMG_7041
One night, about three weeks ago, we asked E if she wanted to sleep in her big girl room and she just went in, crawled into her bed and we haven’t really looked back since.  She has been sleeping a solid 12 hours a night and it is 100% because of her Dockatot.  It cradles her in (and all 47 of her binks) without her feeling trapped I think.  Read more on her sleep transition here!
IMG_7290
My sister is just the best.  She knows when I post a gift guide, It is really just a wish list.  This mug and coconut body polish are my new favorite things!
IMG_7415
We went out to dinner at Kona Grill to celebrate being full term!  Head over to see the full post and there’s still time to get a free appetizer here!
IMG_7620
We are loving the warm weather!  I mean, who doesn’t love a good pair of jellies?!
Also:  E’s sunglasses (similar) and shorts
IMG_7873
For mother’s day we headed out to Old Hilliard to check out their new splash pad and grab some dinner!  Be sure to check out the post-there’s still time to get entered to win a gift card to Local Cantina!
E’s outfit: shirt ($3.82!), shorts, shoes, necklace (similar)
IMG_7899
It’s getting warmer and E loves to be outside!  It’s always a huge struggle to get her back inside.  Also, it looks like they restocked E’s swimsuit!  For $10 it is perfect for summer!
IMG_7936
We packed up the hospital bag and are on the official countdown!
IMG_8007
Gah, how is she already 17 months??  Time is moving way too fast!!

And just like that, it is time for baby sister to be here!  We are scheduled to meet her next Wednesday if she doesn’t arrive sooner!  So this will probably be my last post until baby arrives!  Be sure to follow along on Instagram for updates!  EEEEKK!!

I hope you all have a great long weekend with your families!!
Happy Friday!
Erin

IMG_7917IMG_7900IMG_7909IMG_7915

Good morning!!  We are officially under two weeks away from baby!!  The bag is packed and next to the door just in case.  I went full term with E, but ya never know!  Here are some of the essentials we are packin’:

Fawn Design Backpack and Weekender (similar)
A Nice Camera and your phone/cord
Nursing Pillow (Cover) So many purposes.  Sleeping, comfort, etc…

Clothing
A New Robe
  A Couple of Nightgowns
Leggings
Loose fitting tees/shirts
Slippers (similar) especially for trips to the bathroom
Flip Flops for shower
Socks (similar) I was freezing so I really liked having these during delivery
Stuff for Hubby

Products
Kiehl’s Creme de Corps
Face Wipes
Dry Shampoo
Hair Ties
Blush and Brush
Eyeliner
Mascara
Lip Treatment
Deodorant
Shampoo/Conditioner
Toothbrush/Toothpaste

For Baby
Onesie they will provide you with everything for baby (including diapers and wipes) in the hospital, but we liked to have a few meaningful things to put on her for pictures and for taking her home!
Swaddle same goes here!
Hairbow

Extras
Journal (similar)/Pen  Matt kept a log of the delivery and it’s pretty much the sweetest thing ever.  So glad we have it–it was really fun to read at her first birthday!
Baby Book to put the footprint/handprint in!
I am going to bring a blanket of Eleanor’s because I just feel like I am going to miss her while I’m at the hospital (especially during delivery) and it will help me to feel like both of my babies are with me.
Snacks.  You can’t have them while you labor, but you can have them as soon as you get to your new room.  I remember looking forward to my snacks while I was laboring.  I packed the big box this time.
Last time we also brought movies–it was Christmas time so we brought lots of our favorites…it helped to have some background noise.
Extra Bags to take home things from the hospital that they give you! And do take it all!

Anything else you all would recommend??

Hope you all have a great day!  Stay tuned tomorrow for another local adventure and giveaway!!
