Our little baby is TWELVE MONTHS!!  It has been quite the year!  We have adjusted to life with two, battled a little sleep deprivation, but most importantly seen how much your heart can grow in such a short period of time.
This little sweet pea is all over the place now that she can walk/run and is into everything.  She loves to run around behind E, taking everything sneakily.  She’s into the babies now, stroller, accessories and all.  These two sisters are going to keep us busy!

She is still taking one, two-hour nap and sleeping 11-12 hours a night.  LOVES the bink–one for her mouth and two for her hands.  Gonna be hard to break, just like E.  Here’s a look back on Establishing a Nighttime Routine! and how we’re using the Dockatot!

She weighs in at 24 pounds and is still eating a mixure of purees and solids.  The great news is she is off of bottles and is taking whole milk in a sippy cup!  Here’s a look back at our transition back to whole milk.

Overall, this little chick is just the sweetest with her scrunched up face (for all of the emotions)!

Here’s a look back at her first year!

And suddenly, she’s EIGHT months old!!  I cannot believe how much she has changed since seven months.  She has only woken up one night since I wrote this post on her eating and we feel in a pretty good routine!  She cut two teeth (her bottom front) at the same time so that was a rough night, but other than that she has been one happy camper!  Her current schedule is 4 5-6oz bottles and then an 8 ounce before bed, plus 4 solid meals a day.  Her favorite combo is pumpkin and apple!  She’s a growing girl!

She has started crawling and standing up/supporting herself with tables or in her crib.  And in the last week or so has started shuffling along the table!  I think we will have another early walker (E started walking at 9 months!).  While this is very exciting, it will also be slightly terrifying having two kids RUNNING around the house!

Another big milestone has been babbling! Less baby cooing and more dadas!  She can recognize us calling her by name, either Claire or sissy 🙂

We have officially entered the super fun phase which I think lasts from 8 months-18 months where they switch from newborn to fun baby and fledgling toddler!  I love to see their personality develop!!

We love you C!
And here’s E at eight months!

And just like that.  She’s two.  To the one who made me a mama, I hope you have the happiest of days.  I remember being so proud the day I had you.  I kept looking around thinking, is everyone seeing what I’m seeing??  This is one special girl.  And I’ve felt this same way every day since.  That smile and sass brings a whole lot of joy to this family and to the world.  Here’s to another year of YOU my sweet girl!

This Year’s Big Moments:
Starting Swim Lessons
Eating at Big Girl Table!
Moving to Her Girl Room!
Days out with Mommy!
AND Becoming a Big Sister!

We officially have an eight month old!  Now, during these photo shoots, I avoid getting her to look at the camera because the second I get her attention she will attempt to stand to get the phone.  Which in a chair is not ideal, so she is basically never going to be looking at the camera again.  She is still sleeping around 11-12 hours a night without getting up to eat (which was not happening around month 4 and 5).  She takes a nap in the morning and a  nap in the afternoon.  She is back at the sitter during the day and she is a 100% better eater for the sitter, but a better napper at home.  She has two bottom teeth and has said “mama” and “up”.  I am not really counting them as her first words though until she says them with meaning.  Is that what you are supposed to do?  She has lifted herself up while saying up, so maybe we will count that!  It would sure be fitting for this on-the-go gal!  She crawls, stands up on everything, and has stood for a few seconds on her own!  She also mimics everything we do, grunts with displeasure, opens and closes her fist when you say “bye bye” or “Hi Eleanor!” and make the same motion.
She’s tried almost every fruit and vegetable on the planet and now we are giving her small bits of our food!  Feels so strange that she is ready for that!
She is just as sweet as can be and can’t believe we are getting ready to celebrate the big ONE!
We love you, E!
