CLAIRE!!! My baby!! This is almost it!  Only one more month to go!  I am so proud of this girl and the little person she is becoming!  She is changing every single day and has gone from a VERY colicky little nugget to a smiley, lovey, sleepy little girl!  We literally cannot get enough of her.  It is so fun being able to take both girls about town, to the zoo, and whatever else–this age is just so fun.  Claire has so much rounded out our family.  She is exactly what we needed.  She laughs at the best times, she’s a champ when it comes to sharing with E, and  she’s the calm in the midst of E and me.

She eats EVERYTHING all of the time.  There aren’t many points in the day where she isn’t eating.  She has purees 4 times a day, eats what we are eating, AND has her bottles.  For formula she takes whatever and is even sneaking in a little whole milk 🙂

She takes only one 2-3 hour nap a day and sleep 12 hours a night.  She loves her bink, but doesn’t wake a night for it.  She only had a few shaky nights as she popped out her top two teeth–now she has four!

The biggest milestone we hit this month is WALKING!  It is now her preferred method for getting around and she’s getting pretty fast!  She is in 12-18 month clothes, but I’m guessing she’ll start to thin out soon!

My most favorite thing about her is that she will just randomly come up and put her head on my shoulder or lap or leg.  Just cuddles up for a second then goes right back to playing.

We can’t wait for the big ONE!

…and here’s E at Eleven Months!

And suddenly, she’s EIGHT months old!!  I cannot believe how much she has changed since seven months.  She has only woken up one night since I wrote this post on her eating and we feel in a pretty good routine!  She cut two teeth (her bottom front) at the same time so that was a rough night, but other than that she has been one happy camper!  Her current schedule is 4 5-6oz bottles and then an 8 ounce before bed, plus 4 solid meals a day.  Her favorite combo is pumpkin and apple!  She’s a growing girl!

She has started crawling and standing up/supporting herself with tables or in her crib.  And in the last week or so has started shuffling along the table!  I think we will have another early walker (E started walking at 9 months!).  While this is very exciting, it will also be slightly terrifying having two kids RUNNING around the house!

Another big milestone has been babbling! Less baby cooing and more dadas!  She can recognize us calling her by name, either Claire or sissy 🙂

We have officially entered the super fun phase which I think lasts from 8 months-18 months where they switch from newborn to fun baby and fledgling toddler!  I love to see their personality develop!!

We love you C!
And here’s E at eight months!

Spring has sprung, people!  Here in Ohio, the temps have stayed at a fairly steady 60-70 degrees and the little person in our house is loving it.  I think there would be riots if there was even a hint of snow in the forecast.  With all the baby prep, spring kind of snuck up on me this year.  E loves to get outside and all of sudden I found that her plentiful wardrobe really didn’t contain many warmer temperature pieces.  I think we’ve finally reached the point in her life/growth that we have to actually shop every season.  Before, she just had tons of stuff that were a wide range fit (think 6-12 months) that we got at showers, hand me downs, or that I bought when I saw a good deal, etc…and I just mixed and matched to fit the season.  Now, she is growing like a weed and is now a healthy 2T.  Plus, last year she didn’t really play much outside so I could get away with less summer specific items.  She has a lot of sweatshirts and sneakers that fit, but she was lacking in sandals that fit, spring dresses, and short sleeves.  Leggings will make a great transition piece, but soon it will be all shorts all day!

There are so many great pieces out there for girls right now (and don’t worry boy mamas–I have a post coming next on toddler boys!) so let’s get to it!

1. Eleanor has these sunglasses in blue and they are by far my favorite thing ever.  She doesn’t keep them on long, but I think she’ll grow to love them like her bows which she now tries to put on herself. 🙂

2. These bows are seriously darling.  I also love her June and January knotted headbands.

3.  It’s still pretty chilly in the mornings and in the evenings so a jacket is a must.  This one would also double nicely as a rain jacket!

4. Off the Shoulder Top

5. This dress would be perfect with a cardigan and can be worn well into the summer.  I’m thinking this would be a perfect dress for Memorial Day and/or Fourth of July!  And at $13?!  It’s a steal.

6.  Love these linen shorts and these striped shorts, I actually kinda want them to come in my size?

7. E has these Native shoes in multiple colors and sizes.  They are the same texture as Crocs, but closed in which I think is great for this age!

8. Just ordered these rainboots in the next size E will need so they are ready to go when she outgrows her yellow Hunter boots!  Rainboots are solid gold in toddler world.

9.  I mentioned these sandals in last week’s favorite’s post and I cannot wait to get them!! Gah, baby toes!!

10.  A couple of weeks ago I also posted a roundup of Swimwear for the Littles!

Happy shopping and wahoo for warmer temps!!
Happy Wednesday!
Erin

Friday Favorites!

image1-2Happy Friday, friends!! It has been awhile since I’ve popped in to share what I am loving so today I thought I’d share a few things I have purchased recently or am seriously eyeing!

  1. You may have seen over on Instagram that Eleanor started swim lessons last weekend at Goldfish Swim School and according to the fabulous instructor, she acted perfectly normal for her first time.  More next week, but we do have another swim lesson coming up tomorrow and I thought maybe an adorable new suit would get us on the right track!  Can’t hurt, right?
  2. Ah, Valentine’s Day.  Really sneaking up here folks.  E and I got started on her Valentine’s last week. Which, can I just say, are really hard to find??  They are all character ones!  I’m assuming that’s all the kiddos want.  MEHHHHHH.  I’ll just have to keep Valentine’s Day character free on my end with This cute mug.
  3. These days I kinda feel like Regina ‘but this is all that fits me right now’ George.  $13 Oversized Sweaters and anything that covers m’ compression hose are staples around here.
  4. I’ve said it about a thousand times and I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it in every round up, but if you haven’t gotten This lip treatment and this lotion stop what you are doing and get them. Now.
  5. I gotta say…even though the veins and compression hose are a real nuisance, I’m blessed that the majority of my pregnancies have fallen in the fall and winter so that I can wear boots (pretty much the only shoes you can wear with the hose without looking ridiculous).  I have my eye on these cute booties!
  6. How cute is this sweatshirt for E?!  I didn’t think it was possible, but toddler clothes might be even cuter than baby clothes.
  7. Speaking of which, I remember distinctly sitting in the waiting room with Matt at the gender appointment and saying, “well, if it’s a girl, we won’t have to buy anything!” HA.  The second we left that appointment, like literally in the car, I started ordering.  Turns out I might just have a buying little things for cute little people problem.  Whatevs.  I am totally getting these boots to match E’s rain boots.
  8. And she needs her own swaddles.  It’s not like Eleanor is sharing.  Gah, I can already see the fights.
  9. We started decorating E’s big girl room that she will move into sometime in the next 5-6 months…trying to do it sort of gradually and before she really places permanence on the room she is in now…I will do a full post soon!  But, we have picked up a few pieces here and there like this pillowcase!
  10. I CANNOT wait to get an art table and chairs set up!  Just patiently waiting for a sale and then I will be snagging these up!

What all are you loving right now?? Any big plans for the weekend??  Hope it’s a great one!
    Erin

Our sweet little E is three months old!  She loves her mama and mama loves her!  She is really starting to search the room for me and is a little more aware of what’s going on around her.  We’ve started introducing some toys; she loves the crunchy toys!   She went through a growth spurt about 2 weeks ago where we had some restless nights, but otherwise she’s been a great sleeper!  We are so torn between wanting to freeze time and looking so forward to all of her milestones ahead!

We love you, E!

And don’t forget to enter the Free Babes Handmade Giveaway! Winner announced Friday!!
